Tsuyoshi Kawanishi
Company Friend, Toshiba Corp.
|
In an illustrious career spanning over 50 years with Toshiba Corporation, Mr.Kawanishi has been engaged in and made a notable contribution to the development of Toshiba's semiconductor business since its earliest days. As a noted opinion leader in the Japanese semiconductor industry, he works closely with overseas manufacturers to promote mutual understanding and to resolve international frictions.
Mr.Kawanishi is presently designated as a "Company Friend" of Toshiba Corp., besides being a member of the board of several leading corporations such as Asyst Technologies, TCS Japan, SMIC (China), FTD (Singapore). He is an advisor to Accenture (Japan), SEMI Japan as well as the Chairman of the Society of Semiconductor Industry Seniors (Japan).
Mr.Kawanishi, whose written works include Chip Management, The Future of Microelectronics Device and The Brain of Israel, graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Dr Sourav Kundu,
Software Consultant

Dr.Sourav Kundu, currently based in Japan, has over 10 years' experience
in working, consulting and training in the Capability Maturity Model (CMM)
and CMMI. He is involved in the development of core process optimization
skills and competencies in organizations with innovative, intelligent and
optimized software solutions.
Dr.Kundu has acted as a lead consultant in the design and implementation of major IT projects for companies such as AXA Life Insurance, Bakbone,General Motors, Asahi Anderson and Sun Microsystems.
A successful entrepreneur, Dr.Kundu also successfully launched and operated two globally popular e-commerce ventures, Calcutta Online and Bengalnet Communications.
He has a Doctor of Engineering degree from the Tokyo Metropolitan University, Tokyo. Apart from his diverse experience in the corporate sector, he has held faculty positions at the Kanazawa University in Japan and the Atilim University in Turkey.

Masanori Kondo
Economist

Prof Kondo is a very well known specialist in Indian economics in Japan and has worked with leading economic agencies such as the World Bank and Asian Development bank. His areas of research interest include Development Economics, Indian Economy and Governance.
Prof Kondo is well know in Japan for his public service and has distinguished himself by being an important member of many Government Committees like:
- Member, India-Japan Eminent Persons' Group,
- 2001-2 Chair, India Study Committee, Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Investment, 2004-5 Chair, India Study Committee, Japanese Ministry of Finance,
- 2005-6 Director, Global Development Network, India
His major publications include:
- Japan and India in the 21st Century (in Japanese, 2001)
- India and Japan (co-author FICCI, 2002)
- Political Economy of Commodity Export Policy (World Bank, 2001)
- Governance and ODA (in Japanese, JICA, 2003) and a number of India-related articles in Japanese newspapers and magazines
